Who Developed The Backrooms With Guns?

The Backrooms With Guns developer is Floridoit, a Roblox user. Look for that name when opening the experience so you land in the correct game. For returning players, the other detail worth knowing is that Update 1.2 lets you recover your previous weapons for free at the weapon shops.

The experience was created on January 4, 2022, and released on July 21, 2022. Those dates mark different milestones: the Roblox project's creation and the game's release.

Floridoit's name also appears in the You Met Floridoit badge. You can jump into The Backrooms With Guns on Roblox, where servers support up to 20 players.

What Update 1.2 Changes for Returning Players

TBWG 1.2.0 adds wraps, attachments, new bosses, and improved graphics. It also introduces a new saving system, which explains why weapons from before the update can initially disappear from your inventory.

Your saved kills remain intact. If you played before Update 1.2, recover your previous equipment this way:

  1. Visit the weapon shops.
  2. Re-equip the weapons you previously owned.
  3. Reclaim those weapons for free.

An empty weapon inventory after the update does not mean your progress was erased. Head to the shops before spending Robux in response to the missing equipment.

How the Three Game Modes Differ

The game includes PvE and player-versus-player combat, with different health and ammunition rules between the two PvE modes.

ModeCombatHealth and ammunition
ClassicPvEInfinite health and ammo
SurvivalPvELimited health and ammo
PVPFight other players—

Choose Classic for PvE with unlimited health and ammunition. Switch to Survival when you want those resources limited, or select PVP to fight other players.

If performance suffers on a lower-end device, lower the graphics settings and enable performance mode. The game also contains flashing lights and visual effects that can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy.

Game Pass Details to Know Before Buying

Several paid weapons have mode restrictions. The Minigun (M134), Grenade Launcher (M32), Railgun, and Flamethrower are unavailable in PVP. Check that limitation before buying one for player-versus-player fights.

The convenience passes have separate functions:

  • Teleport to Hub — 299 Robux: Adds a button for teleporting to The Hub and accessing levels you have already visited. Entering The Hub itself does not require this pass.
  • Access Shops Anywhere — 199 Robux: Adds a button that lets you access shops from anywhere on the map.

The Custom Weapon pass is not for sale. Its description covers a personal weapon made by Floridoit, with a limit of one per person and rules against overpowering, game-breaking, or Roblox ToS-violating designs.
