How to Unlock the Nuke Badge

The Backrooms With Guns nuke badge requires you to detonate the nuclear bomb hidden behind the lobby’s cracked wall. The event adds 300 kills to your count and triggers a power outage. There’s one catch worth knowing before you start: each server gets only one nuclear detonation.

The nuclear event was introduced in Update 1.1.3. Follow this sequence to reach the bomb and trigger it:

1. Find the Wire Cutter at the Electrical Station. Pick it up before heading to the bomb so you have the tool needed to cut its wires.
2. Locate the cracked wall in the lobby. Break through it to access the space containing the nuclear bomb.
3. Check that the bomb is present. It does not spawn during the first 15 minutes of a server’s lifetime.
4. Use the Wire Cutter on the bomb’s wires. Cutting them triggers the siren and nuclear explosion.

The badge’s objective is to detonate the nuke yourself. Make activating the bomb your goal when working through these steps.

Why the Nuke Might Be Missing

Server timing matters more than how long you have personally been playing. The 15-minute restriction starts when the server is created, so joining an older server does not mean you need to wait another 15 minutes.

Keep these two restrictions in mind:

• A new server needs time: the bomb does not appear within its first 15 minutes. Wait beyond that opening window before checking again.
• A used bomb does not return: the nuclear event can happen only once per server because the bomb spawns only once.

If the detonation has already happened, switch servers for another attempt. Waiting in that same server will not give you a second bomb. Likewise, passing the 15-minute mark does not help if someone has already used its single detonation.

Nuke Rewards and the Power Outage

Detonating the bomb does more than add a badge to your collection. The explosion destroys the surrounding walls, awards 300 kills, and causes a blackout.
