The Backrooms With Guns How to Run: Sprint Controls

Need The Backrooms With Guns how to run help? Start with the keyboard sprint control, then pick a mode that gives you room to learn the corridors. Limited health and ammo make movement more consequential in Survival.

How to Run on Keyboard

In the April Fools build, try Shift to sprint while moving. In dark areas, F activates your light, helping you see where you're heading.

Practice moving through a familiar stretch of hallway before exploring farther. Use your light when visibility drops so you can spot enemies and avoid wandering into dead ends.

Choose Your Mode Before Exploring

Your game mode determines what you need to manage while moving around:

The Backrooms With Guns — Choose Your Mode Before Exploring

  • Classic: PvE with infinite health and ammunition. Use it to practice movement and explore without rationing ammo or protecting a limited health pool.
  • Survival: PvE with limited health and ammunition. Watch both resources as you move between encounters.
  • PVP: Combat against other players. Expect your opponents to be players rather than just the enemies you encounter in PvE.

For a movement practice session, choose Classic. Its infinite health and ammo let you focus on learning routes and handling your weapons.

The Teleport to Hub game pass costs 299 Robux and adds a button at the top of the screen. It lets you teleport to The Hub and access levels you've previously visited. You can still enter The Hub without buying the pass.

Adjust Settings if Movement Feels Choppy

If your device struggles, lower the graphics settings and turn on performance mode. Lower-end devices can experience performance problems.

Keep weapon effects in mind, too. Repeated M134 minigun fire can cause lag and delayed hits. If you're using it while testing movement, ease off the firing and compare how the game responds.

The M134 is unavailable in PVP, so that particular weapon restriction also matters when switching modes.
