How to Reach the Poolrooms

The Backrooms With Guns poolrooms route runs through the dark, damaged sections of the Stormy Office. Finding the right door matters because the office also connects to The End. Your route starts upstairs, passes through the damaged area, and ends at a door farther inside.

Follow these steps once you reach the Stormy Office:

1. Start in the upstairs section. This area has no entities or environmental hazards, giving you space to get oriented before moving on.
2. Take the door into the damaged sections. Look for broken windows, wind, and nonworking lights to recognize this part of the level.
3. Continue farther inside to another door. That door takes you to The Poolrooms.

Keep the office’s other connections straight. The upstairs elevator leads to The End, while the staircase leads downstairs to the offices and Miguel’s weapon shop. For the Poolrooms route, head through the damaged-area door.

Getting Through the Damaged Sections

The dangerous part of this approach contains Smiler and Insanity. The damaged sections are as dark as a Lights Out event, making them a sharp change from the safe upstairs area.

Bring a fast-firing or hard-hitting weapon to deal with these enemies quickly. Only two of each entity type can spawn at a time, but ammunition still deserves attention between waves when you’re playing Survival.

Your PvE mode changes the resources you need to manage:

Choose Classic if you want to explore the route with infinite health and ammunition. In Survival, check your remaining ammo before leaving upstairs and conserve it between encounters.

The enemies above belong to the Stormy Office approach. Keep that distinction in mind when preparing for the trip through its damaged sections.

Preparing Your Weapons Before the Trip

Update 1.2 changed the weapon saving system. If you last played before that update, your weapons will initially be missing from your inventory, but your kills remain saved and you can re-equip your previous weapons for free at weapon shops.

Visit a weapon shop before heading into the dark if you’re returning with an empty loadout. You don’t need to rebuild your old collection from scratch.

For additional firepower, take the upstairs staircase down and find Miguel’s shop behind one of the office doors. Miguel sells high-tier weapons for large amounts of kills. The downstairs section’s exit is the staircase back upstairs, so return there when you’re ready to continue toward the damaged sections.

If performance issues make navigating or fighting difficult, lower the graphics setting and enable performance mode before continuing.
